The Annual General Meeting of the Lowland Deer Network Scotland will take place at The Westerwood Hotel, 1 St Andrews Drive, Cumbernauld G68 0EW from 1.00pm on Sunday 26 January 2014.

The formal business of the AGM, to which all interested in deer management across Scotland’s lowland areas are invited, will be followed by guest presentations by:

Ben Harrower, Wildlife Ranger Manager, Scottish Lowlands Forest District

Professor James Simpson, vet, deer specialist, specialist in internal medicine

Pete Carr, Editor, Sporting Rifle Magazine

Also, the intensive enquiry in November by the Scottish Parliament Rural Affairs, Climate Change, and Environment (RACCE) Committee has brought to the fore a number of areas where deer management will be required to up its game. We expect there to be healthy discussion at the event as to how these additional pressures will impact on low ground areas, much of which currently falls outwith the scope of a formalized deer management group.

Attendance at the AGM is free.  If you wish to attend please advise the LDNS Chairman’s office dalhousieestates@btopenworld.com
